Shadowrealm blade dmg reduction is fake?

Is the 50% damage reduction work or not? and it is a chance it will reduce damage by 50% or once you equip it,any damage will be reduce?For me its not working...

Ive been really fond of the blade and I do notice a difference in the amount of damage I take but there is no way that it is reduced by half. I would really like for the description to be clarified a bit more. There is no percentage or proc description, only says that incoming damage is reduced by 50%.

It procs like all other weapons do somewhere around 10% lasting x amount of secs i tested it by pull a full tunnel in wt4 and counting potions used to stay alive while killing pack. I use over double with dark watch of potent thus in my eyes its doing its job. Also i use when running flags and just swing as i run to try to proc on air.
