Hammer tank?

So I started my hammer bear after getting a crusaders war hammer in FC. Loved it, really works out. Now I'm on 30 with my iceberg titanic hammer, still happy. I think I will have to farm for lvl 35 whammo, where...?
but is there a lvl 45 hammer? I hope there is a lv50 one. They should really expand the hammer plat store.

Believe it or not, the current hammer you are using (iceberg titanic) is the best in the game. It has more damage than Copperhead's wammo, as well as ice proc. They really need more high lvl hammers in the game. I mean, for a lvl 30 hammer to be the best in the game is a little silly.

On the same note, hammers are freaking sweet. I have a hammer bear and bird.

They sure are Ellie! All hammers have a stun proc as well. They are great for immobilizing single targets.

So hammer is good 1v1 tanking? I always thought a shield meant more tank-ability :P

Well yes but with hammer alongside all the warriors stun powers, it is boss murder time.

Should I still be taking my hammer into ao2 though?

My pally has a hammer, but only pulls it out for certain bosses (Dex and Int bosses mostly). A Warbird is just a bit easier to survive with using a 2-hand weapon. You have to be very careful with a low health pally carrying a 2-hander into melee combat. It's not bad to use a hammer, but I wouldn't do it full time.

I like hammers, but wouldn't a good shield and a good weapon prove for better tanking? I've got on hammer, and I don't use it very often

Hammers beat swordnshield in PvP. It also beats any mage. But hammer < archer....

I haven't found anything better so far when it comes to speed and damage and it adds cold damage/stun. Now, if I could find a higher level version of that, da bear would be very, very happy.

well you could look around for a iceberg titanic hammer, lv30 and the best one available till lv50.

i wonder about a str birdy (debuffs ftw) and a hammer...

are you kidding!! the gurgox has like 180-250 damage and like 7 Armour waaay batter man iceberg is good for lower lvls like maybe 30-40

My "baby" tank is, as I said in a previous post, level 37. Iceberg would be fine for where he is right now. Gurgox's Hammer isn't going to do him much good--he can't even lift it. ;)
