I have never complained about this game because I love it, but it is a little upsetting that Jarl still has the best gear...I really hope there are better sets that no one has had drop yet so the best gears do actually come from the new maps.

You are comparing an Elite item ( clever demonologist) to a non-Elite item. Non Elites are item level +3 and Elite is +5. Look at the main stat on the item and you can tell if it is elite or not. Now go look at Sealord gear and it compares to Jarl gear if not being better because of new procs from weapons and new looks.

Yes, it's not elite items, just normal pinks from the plat bundle.

They are the pinks that come from the elite chests.

As other's have stated in the thread, there is a range in stats of Legendary (pink) gear.

If you compare a low in pink that comes from the Kraken Isles Elite zones with the very best Pink that comes from a non-Kraken Isle elite zone, then yeah, their is still great gear that comes from non-Kraken Isle Elite Zones.

On Monday, I'll be posting an article that details how drops work and what drops where. Here are a few things to know:

Non-Kraken Isle Elite Zones drop level 25 gear. There is still great stuff to be found here (the original zones + Dead City). Any Elite zone should have good gear. However, it doesn't scale up to level 26 and it doesn't have a chance of dropping the Mythic or Arcane rarity items.

Kraken Isle Elite Zones drop level 25 and 26 gear. Elite Gold Pirate Chests have a rare chance of dropping Mythic or Arcane rarity items.

They are boss specific I think. Not just from elite pirate chests. I dont think enough farming has been done on new maps yet to tell what drops what. We managed to do elite cove in 12 mins but thats still 5 kills an hour... And its hard concentration where as maps such as Reef are much easier but plenty of the drops from it are listed in CS. Just taking a stab in the dark saying sorc/rogue weapons will be drop specific to different bosses to stop easy access and higher rarity for different items. Not just the same all the time like Jarling was before cap....

also, is scaled legendary gear found in the elite kraken chests or is it solely new pirate gear from the kraken expansion?
