Uhh i'm not sure about this, but iTunes does have a habit of taking a while to charge you. They generally don't charge my bank account for a few days and get it all at once.

It should still be charged from your gift card, I use the same method, and it takes it from my gift card. Probably just a delay or something.

I always use gift cards, Itunes takes the money within few minutes after downloaded the apps (French Itunes), but when i paid for dungeons thru PL app, it took couple of days .

same i only use gift cards and it worked for me but i also do have a credit card registered

This same discussion is in another thread, however
according to apple store employees you cannot buy
"in-app" purchases with an iTunes gift card. It has to be a credit or debit card, use a debit giftcard. If you
don't have a real one.

I guess they changed it, because I don't have a credit or debit card, and I was able to buy "in-app" purchases from severals games using a gift card.

I have bought three dungeons with iTunes gift card credit so far. Not sure why yours isn't letting you.
