Ok either this is bug, typo, or intentional
I respeced my bear and noticed that for level 1(and maybe 2) the range for the bears stomp was 6m. Then It went up to 8m in lv3. After that the little numbers told me it went down again to 6m for lv4 and 5. When the range went down I did notice something else go down too..(mana, speed idk) which might explain it.
