What determines how many health points Lifegiver restores to you? Is it your damage stat or your mana stat?

To be exact it's your INT stats, the more you have the more health (and mana) lifegiver restores to you.

Soulblizzard got it right. If you keep your INT exactly the same, but increase your damage parameter, your life giver's healing power increases too.

if you want to get an idea of how much it increases, check out my dps vs damage thread. I have screenshots in there of lifegiver for a low-dmg vs a high-dmg build. I'll paste the link to that thread here below :)

Thanks. The reason I was asking is I was comparing two different rings. The main difference between them was that one added more INT, but the other added actual dmg. My total damage stat ended up being about the same with both rings, but obviously the ring with more INT added more mana. I wanted to find out if it would cause my lifegiver skill to get stronger, but it sounds like the only advantage to that ring would be not running out of mana as quick, and for the extra price it's not worth it.

Lifegiver gives the following
Avg Health per cast is
3.6*Damage= avg heal
The range is then +/- 11% so you can calculate 89%*Avg to 111%*Avg for the range

The Mana restore (instant restore), restores 9.5% of your total mana minus the cost of the spell.

Cosmo,are you sure its 9.5%*total mana= mana heal ???

I try it a couple times with same stat and think its not really correct ( sorry no offense ).I think the mana heal was also depends on your damage and not the total mana.Correct me if Im wrong.I still learning about sorcerer...Thanks

Yeah, I think the mana restore is higher. I tend to see a 12% - 14% bump in mana right after casting a charged heal.
