I have two ideas, and I'm pretty sure they could be combined quite well. My first idea would be to have some maps set in UC cities, with the player helping to fend of a scorn assault on slightly more populated planet than the 3 that have been hit up to this point. The other idea would be to set the expansion on the Scorn homeworlds. The current plotline of the expansion is a lot like the US pacific campaign during WW2. Voleria was Pearl Harbor, and the Crusade levels were the next several months of running around fighting off attacks scattered all over the ocean. At some point, SL needs to have a Battle of Midway, and after that we start pushing the scorn back.
As for timing, I haven't heard anything about when the next expansion is due from STS, though from the general tone on the forums, Scorn III will come out at roughly the same time as the heat death of the universe.
