Fireball, then timeshift, then start working on their enhancements (eventually max then both out), then add lifeheal (mana upgrade really makes this the most cost effective of all the classes --less pots are needed). Your 4th power is up to you, depending on your style. I would not choose gale, curse, or shield till you understand the class. Id rather learn how to crowd control groups of mobs, as that is your greatest asset in pve. In pvp, you'll have to ask someone else. Hope this helps. Im sure others will have their own opinion, but I think fire and time are the best leveling and longterm skills. I can easily solo most tombs without great gear. Lots of hit and run, but completely doable for grinding levels out.
