What's up with Arcane Legends nowadays?

My isp is good. Other OL games I've been playing are smooth.

Everything fine here, but few months ago was same problem like yours... Countless dc and lag (but only 2 days). Maybe your device too weak for this game, try to play on other device.

Oh common, I've been playing this game on my device and it runs very smooth except for these past three days.

As i have said, other OL games runs smoothly on my device.

Read between the lines. My ISP is excellent. It can run other heavier OL games, how much more with AL.

But Everything has changed with AL!!

If you're not experiencing what we have, good for you.

Any Protips are appreciated.

Yeah, well when ping is high its usually is some kind of interruption with data receiving or something
maybe its on AL side then , possible server or the part of the world youre in lol

I've always have high ping issues with AL and sometimes with DL as well. Posted about it before on this same forum and usually dev just ignores it. Many players have complain about it, and if the dev responds, they usually say the problem is at the players end not STS's...which is...I'm going to be polite and not finish that sentence. However, too many players have complain about this same exact issue....usually these same players play other online games and those online games run just fine for them. SO...seriously STS look into upgrading your server or something. INVEST in your business.

Hey Knkonani,

I'm very sorry to hear of your connection issues with Arcane Legends. I can well understand how you feel. While there may be some other people who post here about their problems connecting, this is something like 1/10th of 1% of the numbers of players who are playing Arcane Legends. We have thousands of players who are connecting and playing Arcane Legends without incident or complaint.

Have you brought up the issue with your network administrator or ISP?

Have you tried playing on a completely different network and compare that experience with your usual?

If you are familiar with how to use the ping and tracert command on your PC, you can use those to look at your internet traffic. Tracert to account.spacetimestudios.com (that's not the actual game server, but close enough for troubleshooting purposes).

I hope that helps!

Thanks for the reply. However, not all are spacetime insiders. They have not come into the website to complain.

Even if means 1/10th of AL population, the issue must be solved for them right? From those 1/10th are the loyal players who have played countless hours and not to mention invested on platinums.

Our ISPs are ok.

It could be something between your ISP and where the servers are. Can you post the log of your tracert ?

Hi Samhayne,

I have acted on those suggestions you've made base on another post you've made in the past awhile ago. However, I am not an IT person and I know it's probably not fair to you and STS to ask you guys to help us with a problem that is beyond your company's service ... but I am really at a lost as to what to do with the result of my traceroute. For one, sometimes the readings are good and sometimes not so good and what do I do with it? I've contacted my service provider (AT&T) and they did some testing on their end and say my internet is running fine. SO, that sort of leaves me in customer neverland where I am not sure who to go for help or even how to start fixing my problem. Sorry if my posts are coming off a bit strong but it is very frustrating.

Here is a sample of a traceroute I ran using this Online Traceroute tool. Around the 6-8 I usually hit high numbers and I'm not even sure if it reached the destination. http://networking.ringofsaturn.com/Tools/traceroute.php

Sorry Rivet didn't mean to hijack but since Samhayne is here I can't pass the opportunity.
BTW I've also use my computer's tracert from the .CMD command but the end results (the last 20-30 hops) always show "request timed out"...so I really don't know what to make of that!

So, here's the thing... traceroute isn't always the best way to prove if there is or isn't a problem. In this case, L3 is blocking ICMP requests (which is what traceroute uses by default). If you switch to TCP SYN packets for the traceroute it'll map the whole way out. In my tests (both from my local host and remotely from other servers) I don't see an obvious network issue anywhere that would cause problems. That doesn't mean there isn't a problem, if a server is overloaded that could increase the lag we all experience just as much as a network issue.

That's what I think as well...

im just curious when ur logging -in AL what are you using? email, facebook or google? if your using email try logging using facebook and try if your also experiencing high ping..... im using email to log my main account but there is ping issues. then ive tried to log using facebook and created new character ive manage to lvl it up to 8 w/ yellow ping. it seems that players that using email to login are the only one experiencing high ping.......
