Bug? Or intended? Better equipment alert.

It seems almost every time I loot a necklace or brooch, I get an alert saying that the item is better than what I have equipped. IMHO, it's not, usually crit or dodge might be increased by a tiny %.

This has happened with more than one necklace that I've equipped. The equipped items usually have +3 to damage. Right now I'm wearing lvl 25 Bling Bauble of Potency. I get the alert on lvl 11 greens sometimes and they are definitely not an improvement.

It's kinda newbie helping mechanism.
Turn it off in options.

Thank you. I do understand that it's a helper tool. But, should it be telling me that a lvl 11 green is better than a lvl 25 purple? It's giving the message on almost every neck item looted.

I reported this bug months ago, I guess they ignored my thread. I suggested that the notif should only come If the looted item has more than Half more greens
