Best weapon type for pure dex bird

It's really hard to determine which weapon is better.
Crossbows shoot fast but hit softer than bows.
Bows hit harder.
Daggers seem to destroy things up close.
Spikes seem to do a lot of damage, but i can't seem to get anything other than a gray to drop. (someone always gets it that doesnt need it and wont trade or either wants an insane amount for it)
I generally am running with a Crossbow, but despite it saying it has higher DPS I seem to do more damage overall with bows.
Thoughts?

Generally talon spikes and a shield are what most PvE birds use. They have the highest DPS which is what a bird needs.

think i hit 32 yesterday. i cant get a spike. i am using a pink quality crossbow (level 30) i got in Lost Expedition. I can only win gray spikes. Everytime one of the purple or pink quality spikes drop it always goes to someone who can't use it and they either ignore me when i ask to trade/buy it or they give me some insane price. some guy wanted 7k for it the other day. 7k for a purple? really? its not that rare of a drop, I just have horrible luck with it dropping into my inventory.

I have a snipers frosty talon or something along those lines (lvl 30) and I'd consider selling for a good offer ;)

usually, a talon+wing as u seen most birds. else an Alien Blaster or a Scarab Bow(yellow) would be efficient(: or u want the best would be a Red Scarab Bow if u wanna go the bow way.

viper, is there any big difference between the Red Scarab Bow and the Normal one?
And i think you guys are yet to know any cool dex L50 weapons :P I think the Devs have already made them, but no one got the drop yet. And IMO, The Talon + Wing is best choice for a Pure dex.
