Please add a click to target option. You have the technology in PL and can have it as an option that can be enabled or disabled. Without a user controlled targeting system, it is virtually impossible to do my JOB as a rogue.

Thanks!

We intentionally removed focused targeting in order to keep the more action-oriented style play found in Dark Legends, and is not likely to change for the time being.

That makes perfect sense for mages and warriors who live in the scrum. The problem comes in when you try to use a rogue as a rogue to specifically go after high profile enemies. Would an initially disabled option to be able to tap a target be too intrusive?

How about this for an idea.... set a priority that attacks aim towards those who are the biggest threat. So if there is a boss, then your attack will go after the boss first, then any mobs, and lastly any barrels/crates. It is frustrating when the boss is chasing you and you're waiting for your fireball stun to cool down, and when it finally does you shoot it off and instead of shooting it at the boss you destroy the crate next to him. Please make this change!

Sometimes it is good to kill mobs first so idk, but ya the skills going on at barrels should be changed

Lol, that would make rogues even more OP specially in pvp, when u could tacticly chat: kill him first, then him, lastly warriors, or so...
NO!

Not sure about that. Auto target doesn't seem to be a good idea. A lot of times, I try to take out mobs. Especially gunners/archers because they hurt the tanks the most.

Oh you can't do that anyway?

Besides, nobody mentioned PVP.

Ummmm, how many people play DL compared to PL? I find it more action-oriented to be tapping on my screeen to select my targets.

It does really need to be implemented. As a rogue, when I do elite maps its a good strategy to take out the gunners first to make things easier on the tank. The problem is that I can't position myself to do that because I would have to leave the tank and would gain aggro on myself. It makes much more sense to be able to stay near my tank and select my target.

As others have mention, the auto targetting system does not work (at least for rogues, idk about other classes). I can be standing right beside a boss and my aimed and nox shoot passed the boss to hit the menacing crates on the other side of the screen.

You can do that anyway, just need to "position and pray" [current targeting system]. Now consider cooperative targeting in say, Elite Seas. Bow Rogues could target the gunners like they are supposed to which would save the team a whole boat load of damage. Then they could selectively target the lowest health enemy. Why? By focus killing off enemies instead of just everyone attacking a different enemy, you reduce the number of enemies faster, and it reduces the over all damage your entire team takes. It is a strategy I have been using since Warcraft II (1996) and I am sure Generals have been using it since Antiquity. Why take it away from us now?

Get good with positioning. You can do it Fluff, we know you can!

We learned from the other Legends titles that tap targeting was not very intuitive to a broad spectrum of users. Running in and mashing your buttons is. The crafty player can get their targeting done by positioning their character. I know you're a crafty one, Fluff! Please stop trying to cling to how it was done in Pocket Legends and get down with the Arcane party, thanks! :D

To a button masher, the current 'targeting system' is no different then the targeting system in PL except that a circle does not appear under who the system assigns as a target. So in essence, what makes it more intuitive to this broad spectrum is that they don't have to see how the targeting is done. I can appreciate that some people take comfort in ignorance, and accept that broad appeal means least common denominator, but I won't stop lobbying for the thinking players. You have a great game, and while it can't be all things to all people, it can appeal to both the button mashers and selective strikers with the proper options.

I'm actually fine with the current targeting system.. But maybe 'cause i play sorc, and with AoE, i don't have to worry :P

Shooting while running is AL's forte.

Other games' forte is planting feet while attacking, mouse-based.

But it's good to have some valley of arrows on selected targets, art of war type.

Then i dont understand why for is this topic :-P
I'm ok with such targeting. Only wizzard fireball sux.

They are supposed to? Says who? Not devs I think :-P
And ofcourse you can do that easilly in seas. Dont stand in corner, just move to where they spawn with all team. Yeah its harder, but times are better. Imho time diff arent so big. More meaning in farming are delays between runs.

Oh, and Warcraft 2.... Yeah cool game :-) warcraft 3, and starcrafts too :-) :-)
