Introduction

Elixirs are very popular amongst farmers, levelers, or people who want to clear maps/campaigns quickly. There are a wide variety of different elixirs ranging from damage elixirs to luck elixirs. In this thread I will discuss the groups of elixir, the specific elixir, the ways you can receive/purchase the elixir, and how to use an elixir efficiently.

Elixirs and Ways to Get Elixir

Damage Elixirs:

Melee Meade
Requirement: Level 1

Cost: 2000 gold/2k gold

Boost: 1.5x Damage for 5 minutes.

Description: Your damage will be increased for 5 (five) minutes as soon as you purchase this potion.

Does the elixir pause in town? Yes

Get elixir by: Purchasing from store

Opinions: I really think that this elixir isn't worth your 2k. 1.5x barely does you enough justice against mobs, bosses, or any kind of enemy in general.

Pros:
-Very cheap

Cons:
-Not worth money
-1.5x barely does enough

Crazy Melee Meade
Requirement: Level 1

Cost: 3 platinum

Description: Your damage will be increased for 30 (thirty) minutes as soon as you purchase this potion.

Does this elixir pause in town? Yes

Get elixir by: Purchasing from store

Opinions: This elixir could be very useful against enemies, especially because it doubles your damage, and your damage is doubled for 30 minutes! It is also very cheap (3 platinum). Although it can't compare to the best elixirs, this could be useful if you don't have a lot of platinum.

Pros:
-Very cheap
-Damage doubled
-30 minutes of double damage.

Cons:

24 Hour 1.25x Damage Elixir
Requirement: Level 1

Cost: Free

Boost: 1.25x Damage

Description: ---

Does this elixir pause in town? No

Get elixir by: Daily Blessing

Opinions: This is a great elixir because it is stackable. If you stack this to a thrasher, you would get 3.25x damage, which is great. This is free, too, which makes it a great elixir overall, even if it's only 1.25x.

Pros:
-Free
-Stackable
-Lasts 24 hours

Cons:
-Doesn't pause in town

24 Hour 1.5x Damage Elixir
Requirement: Level 1

Cost: Free

Boost: 1.5x Damage

Description: ---

Get elixir by: Daily Blessing

Does this elixir pause in town? No

Opinions: This is exactly like the 1.25x damage elixir, except this is 1.5x damage.

Pros:
-Free
-Stackable
-Lasts 24 hours

Cons:
-Doesn't pause in town

Armor Elixirs:

Tanker's Ale Elixir

Requirement: Level 1

Boost: 1.5x Armor

Cost: 2000 gold/2k gold

Description: Your armor will be increased for 5 (five) minutes as soon as you purchase this potion

Get elixir by: Purchasing from store

Opinions: This elixir is just downright bad. You do not need 1.5x armor to survive, and you definitely do not want to waste 2000 gold.

Pros:

Cons:
-1.5x is not good
-Wastes 2000 gold

Crazy Tanker's Ale Elixir
Requirement: Level 1

Boost: 2x Armor

Cost: 3 platinum

Description: Your armor will be increased for 30 (thirty) minutes as soon as you purchase this potion.

Get elixir by: Purchasing from store

Opinions: Good elixir for tanks, not necessary, but good if you want better survivability.

Pros:
-30 minutes
-2x armor
-Very cheap

Cons:

24 Hour 1.25x Armor Elixir

Requirement: Level 1

Boost: 1.25x Armor

Cost: Free

Description: ---

Get elixir by: Daily Blessing

Does this elixir pause in town? No

Opinions: This is a great elixir, especially since it is free, and it lasts 24 hours.

Pros:
-Free
-Lasts 24 hours

Cons:
-Only boosts 1.25x Armor

24 Hour 1.5x Armor Elixir

Requirement: Level 1

Cost: Free

Boost: 1.5x Armor

Description: ---

Does this elixir pause in town? No

Get elixir by: Daily Blessing

Opinions: Very good elixir for more survivability. 1.5x doesn't do much help, but it is stackable.

Pros:
-Free
-Stackable
-Lasts 24 hours
-3x Armor

Cons:

XP Elixirs
The XP elixirs will have no description, as all it does is boosts the rate of XPs per mob.

Boost: 1.5x XP rate per mob

Description: Your experience points per kill will be increased for 5 (five) minutes as soon as you purchase this potion.

Hardcore Playa's Potion

Requirement: Level 1

Cost: 1 platinum

Boost: 2x XP per mob

Description: Your experience points per kill will be increased for 5 (five) minutes as soon as you purchase this potion.

Does this elixir pause in town? Yes

Insane Playa's Potion

Requirement: Level 1

Cost: 3 platinum

Boost: 3x XP per mob

Description: Your experience points per kill will be increased for 5 (five) minutes as soon as you purchase this potion.

Does this elixir pause in town? Yes

Crazy Playa's Potion

Does this elixir pause in town? Yes

Wicked Playa's Drank

Requirement: Level 1

Cost: 25 platinum

Boost: 3x XP per mob

Description: Chillax... your experience points per kill will be increased for 60 (sixty) minutes as soon as you purchase this potion.

Does this elixir pause in town? Yes

Loco Playa's Drank

Requirement: Level 1

Cost: 30 platinum

Boost: 4x XP per mob

Description: Chillax... your experience points per kill will be increased for 60 (sixty) minutes as soon as you purchase this potion.

Does this elixir pause in town? Yes

24 Hour 1.25x XP Elixir

Requirement: Level 1

Cost: Free

Boost: 1.25x XP per mob

Description: ---

Does this elixir pause in town? No

24 Hour 1.5x XP Elixir

WEEK-LONG DOUBLE-XP

Requirement: Level 1

Cost: 80 platinum

Boost: 2x XP for a whoppin' 7 days!

Description: Enjoy a full week's worth of bonus experience! Stack this with your favorite short-term Elixir for some CRAZY benefits!!!

Does this elixir pause in town? No

Luck Elixirs:

Shamus' Shamrock Ale

Requirement: Level 1

Cost: 20 platinum

Boost: 100% chance re-roll

Description: This brew is infused with an ancient magic which grants a 100% chance to re-roll for better loot, if better loot is available!

Does this elixir pause in town? Yes

Opinions: This elixir is great for farming, and farming only. You get 30 minutes of 100% re-roll, which is great, especially if you are a hardcore farmer.

Pros:
-30 min.
-100% re-roll

Cons:
-For farming only

Combo Elixirs:

Trash Can Punch

Requirement: Level 1

Cost: 7000 gold/7k

Boost: 1.5X Damage, Armor, and XP per mob

Description: Play with 1.5X XP, Armor, and Damage for 5 minutes! Includes Better Luck and Fast Run Speed!

Does this elixir pause in town? Yes

Get elixir by: Purchasing from store

Opinions: I really do not think this is something you want to spend 7k for. As I said with all the other 2k elixirs, 1.5x doesn't do much. All that's really worth is the extra luck and fast run speed, and that's only worth half of the price you spend for the elixir. If you really want the 1.5x combo elixir, and nothing else, just buy the Playa's Potion, Tanker's Ale Elixir, and Melee Meade, and you only have to pay 6k instead of 7k.

Pros:

Cons:
-Expensive
-Not worth the money
-1.5x doesn't do much
-Only luck and run speed matters

Insane Trash Can Punch/Free Daily Elixir

Requirement: Level 1

Cost: 5 platinum/free

Boost: 3x XP, Armor, and Damage

Description: Play with 3x XP, Armor, and Damage for 5 minutes! Includes Better Luck and Fastest Run Speed!

Does this elixir pause in town? Yes

Get elixir by: Purchasing from store/Receive for free DAILY from Vincent the Vendor

Opinions: Very good elixir. What I do not recommend though is buying this very often. You should take advantage of the free elixir that you get from Vincent at the beginning of each map.

Pros:
-3X Combo
-Free daily from Vincent the Vendor

Cons:
-5 min.

Crazy Dumpster Punch

Requirement: Level 1

Cost: 8 platinum

Boost: 2X XP, Armor, and Damage

Description: Play with 2X XP, Armor, and Damage for 30 minutes! Includes Better Luck and Faster Run Speed!

Does this elixir pause in town? Yes

Get elixir by: Purchasing from store

Opinions: I think this elixir is also very impressive. You get to play with double XP, armor, and damage for a good 30 minutes. If I were to compare this and the Insane Trash Can Punch, I think this would win. But if I were to compare this to the free daily elixir (same thing), the daily elixir would win because it's free :)

Pros:
-2X for 30 minutes
-Cheap

Cons:

Wicked Dumpster Punch

Requirement: Level 1

Cost: 20 Platinum

Boost: 3x XP, Armor, and Damage

Description: Play with 3x XP, Armor, and Damage for 30 minutes! Includes Better Luck and Fastest Run Speed!

Does this elixir pause in town? Yes

Get elixir by: Purchasing from store

Opinions: Great elixir. There is nothing wrong with it; except that it cost 20 platinum, but it is definitely worth the price.

Pros:
-3x Combo
-30 minutes

Cons:
-20 platinum

Thrasher Pwnage Punch

Requirement: Level 1

Cost: 40 platinum

Boost: 4x XP, 3x Armor, and 3x Damage for 60 minutes!!!

Description: Destroy EVERYTHING in your path! Play with 4x XP, 3x Armor, 3x Damage, improved Luck and a 30% Speed Boost for 60 minutes!

Does this elixir pause in town? Yes

Get elixir by: Purchasing from store

Opinions: This is my favorite elixir. There is nothing wrong with it, 40 platinum is worth every single piece platinum when you get 4x XP, 3x Armor, 3x Damage, improved Luck, AND a 30% Speed Boost. And that's not all; it lasts for 60 minutes.

Pros:
-3x Combo w/ 4x XP
-Worth price
-60 minutes!

Cons:

Shamrock Thrasher Punch

Requirement: Level 1

Cost: 80 platinum!!!

Boost: 100% chance to re-roll (!!!!!!!!), 4x XP, 3x Armor, 3x Damage, 30% Speed Boost

Description: 100% chance to re-roll for better loot, if better loot is available, plus 4x XP, 3x Armor, and 3x Damage, +30% Speed Boost for 60 minutes!

Does this elixir pause in town? Yes

Get elixir by: Purchasing from store

Opinions: This is just like the Thrasher Pwnage Punch, except it gives you 100% luck for 60 minutes!

Pros:
-100% luck
-3x Combo w/ 4x XP
-Worth the price

Cons:
-For farmers only

24 Hour 3x Combo Elixir

Requirement: Level 1

Cost: Free

Boost: 3x Combo for 24 HOURS!!!

Description: ---

Does this elixir pause in town? No

Get elixir by: Daily Blessing

Opinion: A lot of people say that this is the best elixir. I have to agree; 3x Combo elixir for 24 hours? And for FREE?! That's just insane.

Pros:
-24 Hours
-Stackable
-3x Combo
-Free
-Arguably best elixir

Cons:
-Doesn't pause in town

Miscellaneous Elixirs:

Enable XP Gain

Requirement: Level 1

Cost: 5 platinum

Boost: Ability to gain XP in any map that is lower than your level for 5 min.

Description: This enhancer allows you to gain experience in a dungeon that is below your character level!

How to Use Elixirs and Why We Use Elixirs

One of the main reasons people use elixirs is to level up. The process of leveling up in the game without an elixir is very slow, and that is why people slap on an elixir so that the process is faster.

Another reason is farming. Farming is the act of repeatedly doing a level over and over in order to get the loot they want. Say you want to get a level 50 sentinel shotgun, and you are a pure dexterity bird. If you buy a Classy Looter, than the chances of getting a sentinel shotgun are a lot higher.

How to use elixirs effectively. Here are some of the techniques that I've learned from continuous farming, and leveling up.

Leaving when boss is dead
You want to leave right when the boss is dead, so you don't waste any of your elixir. Even a tiny bit of elixir wasted can still be a big problem, especially if you're using a 5 minute elixir.

When dead, don't respawn in beginning
You do not want to respawn back to the beginning, because it is time consuming to walk all the way back to where you were. One of the huge risks of this is when you die from boss. Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT RESPAWN! Chances are that the team will most likely have beaten the boss and you will be left with no loot. If you do happen to die in the middle of the stage, though, try to get a mage to revive you, or buy the 1 platinum option of respawning right where you are.

Buy elixirs from tier 3 guild halls
If you are in a tier 3 guild, go to the guild hall to purchase the elixir. You get a discount and that could save you some platinum. (Ty wammm!)

Farming with Elixirs Effectively

A lot of people buy an elixir and waste most of it because he/she doesn't join immediately after the host remakes a game. If you want to farm with a team, you have to join the team very quickly, so that you don't waste your elixir, and your teammates don't waste their elixir when waiting for you. Some reasons that make you late are 1. your inventory is full 2. your experiencing major lag 3. your away from keyboard. Let's say I am farming level 51 sewer gear in The Catacombs. This is what I would do:

1. Join immediately after host makes game. This is very important because if you don't join immediately after the host makes the game, you will fall behind.
2. Know where to go. You want to have knowledge of where you are going. For example, if you took a path different from your teammates, you could get lost and waste your elixir. Even in that time period in which you were lost, your teammates could have already killed the boss leaving you with no loot. You would waste that amount of time because you took a different path than your teammates.
3.Be aware of your health bar. Be VERY aware of your health bar. If you die, than re-spawning wastes time, and you would have to walk all the way back. I would suggest you to choose the 1 platinum option if there wasn't a mage on your team.
4.After you defeat boss, rejoin quickly. DO NOT JUST SIT IN THE MAP WAITING FOR THE HOST TO REMAKE. You waste your elixir that way. Press the log out button so that you don't waste any of your elixir.

How Stackable Elixirs Work

Stackable elixirs are elixirs that can merge onto other elixirs for an increased effect. Stackable elixirs work like this: Suppose you have a 3x Damage Elixir, and you add it on to a 1.25x Damage Elixir. What you have to do is take 1x out of the equation because the 1x is your basic stat. So basically it's 3x + .25x = 3.25x Damage. Another example is if it's double xp weekend. You buy a thrasher, you get a 24 HR. 1.5x XP Elixir, and you buy a week-long double xp elixir. The equation would be 4x XP + (3x Damage - 1) + (3x Armor - 1) + (1.5x XP - 1) + 2x XP. The answer would be 6.5x XP, 2x Damage, 2x Armor. The XP Elixir would last 49 hours, but 48 of those hours don't pause in town. Your Damage and Armor would last 1HR. each. A common mistake that people do to calculate the sum of the elixir and the stackable elixir is that they forget to take 1x out of the stackable elixir. Another mistake that people make is that they MULTIPLY the stackable elixir by the regular elixir, so the equation would be like this. (3x Combo -1) x 3x Combo = 6x Combo. This equation would be wrong because you're not supposed to multiply the stackable by the regular. Another mistake is subtracting one from ALL of the addends. You only subtract 1 per variable. So you wouldn't subtract 1x twice when you have 2 XP variables.

Would a bow bear really receive a bow? or would it be str gear?

Yich

There is no such thing as a 3x elixir for just armor or just damage. Only 1.25x, 1.5x and then a 3x combo.

It would be dexterity because the gear is made specifically for your character. This is how it works: If your bow bear has 150 base dexterity and 149 base strength, then you would get dexterity gear. If the bow bear has 150 base strength and 149 base dexterity, then the bow bear would receive strength gear.

Here's how classy works, there are exceptions.
It will only drop what you can equip. It's not always your highest stat.
Say you were farming in a lower level and like your scenario you are 150 dex 149 str. If there is a wep that will drop that has a requirement of say 130, you might receive dex OR str.
If your in a map that has weapon drops with 150 base requirement, this 150 dex bear will only get a dex drop.
My bird was able to farm int items during forgotten event because the int staff had a 1 int requirement at lv 10, and my dex bird has 1 int.
Classy will only drop what you can equip.

Also the xp anywhere elixir isn't only used for mega maze type caps, it is also used by kill farmers to get the one mil kills you see on leader boards.

You did an error with 1.25 damage elixer. You said it is stackable with a thrasher and will add up to 5.5 dmg. The thrasher only has 3xs damage and blessing only adds .25 additional damage, forget the 1 since that's your base dmg and only the .25 is added. So it should say it adds up to 3.25xs dmg. Another thing, you said 1.5xs damage pots were not worth it? They were so useful back in the days to buy along with the 1.5xs exp and cap platless, nowadays it's still nice to buy in case you got a 1.5 damage blessing both will add up to 2.0xs dmg, the 1's in front don't add up since they are the base numbers. Overall, nice guide.

Not trying to bash you, you obviously put a lot of effort into this but... most of your information is obsolete tbh. :ambivalence:

Requirement: lv1 for every single one? Could have just stated that there are no requirements.

As far as the price and decriptions go, everyone who finds the elixir vendor will see them anyways, and their effect is pretty obvious from the description.

Dailies and weekly dont pause in town, all the other elixirs do. Imo stating it for every individual one is plain confusing.

In the 'opinion' section you often restate the effect of the elixir, or you say wether its worth the plat or not, which cant be answerd cause it might be different for every player and in every scenario. (ie. someone who has very little plat or somone who enjoys farming might not consider the shamrock lixir worth buying and rather put in more time, while I dont mind spending some bucks to get over with my farming quickly. Also, if you are trying to farm steels in nuri a shamrock would be counterproductive cause it would reroll those to worthless greens.)

The 'how and why' is very brief and could be much more detailed (see this (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?37151-Guide-How-to-use-elixirs-effectively-in-a-group) covering elixir usage in exp runs).

Again, not trying to hate, but overall this guide is not very elaborate, contains a lot of unneccessary information and lacks 'guideworthy' substance.

You may want to add some info on stacking, since this is often the biggest point of confusion with elixirs. People often don't take into account that only the effects of the elixirs stack. So many people would say that a 3x blessing + a 4x thrasher would = 7x, but in reality it's 6x. 1x base xp + 2x from the blessing + 3x from the thrasher. Also, certain characteristics like speed and damage have a cap. For damage, I think it's 4x or so. Devs posted about this somewhere, but I'm too lazy to search for it at the moment. So no matter what elixirs you stack, your damage will never go higher than that.

Good advice. I'll definitely try to add more to the how and why section.

Will change briefly :)

Yeah, it's the same thing as the Insane Trash Can Punch.

Update: Added Stackable Elixirs section (suggested by McBain), Farming with Elixirs section (suggested by Gaunab).

A note on the stacking of elixers. When elixers stack, you are correct. A x4 and a x3 do not make x12 nor x7 but x6.
However, the double XP from double XP weekend (i.e. NOT an elixer) actually fully doubles what you have based on your elixers.
So, a thrasher + a 3x combo on double XP weekend will net you 12X (x6 times 2)
Although this is not technically an elixer issue per se (and your guide is on elixers), might be good to add this little bit anyhoo...

On a side note, this means the best XP gain one can get is stacking a week long elixer with a thrasher with a 3x daily for a whopping 14X on a double XP weekend... (not accounting for slight adjustments based on your level compared to the threat and (is that still there?) the bonus for doing a map with a full group (5 players)....
