I was again doing hauntlet runs and my ping started to skyrocket. Soon enough after using skyward smash and having a late reaction, I was transported outside the boundaries. My lag is causing some strange things.

That really happens when you lag too much. :) All you can do is refresh and hope your ping cools down.

Something like this happened to me too. My ping spiked and then all of a sudden my character was dragged all the way back to the start of the hauntlet.
