All experience will be doubled!

On Friday, April 12th, we will pull a list of all Arcane Legends players who meet either of the two below criteria:


A level 26 character on their account, or
Ever spent $19.99 or more in any Spacetime Game

To help our VIP's get the most of of this Double XP weekend, we will be giving everyone who meets either of the above criteria the following FREE elixirs on all of their characters!

15 minute Movement Speed elixir

Hmmm what a worth while reward for VIP... 2 15min. elixirs, klaas gives me an hour on all elixirs if I'm lucky....

wt4 with a good party takes about 6 minutes
let's say the elixirs are 15% (most likely)
6 minutes = 360 seconds
360/1.15=313 seconds
15 minutes = 900 seconds
900/313=almost 3 runs (2.88, with speed elixir I'll say 3 runs)
each wt4 run gives about 300xp with a full party (not sure)
300•3=900xp
double xp: 1800xp))
or
300•1.15=345xp, 690 with double
90 xp more per run
3 runs in 15 minutes, (90•3=270) about 270 extra xp from the elixirs
well that is certainly worth $20

Why can't we just be more appreciative of the fact that many of us are getting free elixirs and a double xp weekend? Yea they may not be the best elixirs and only 15 minutes, but it's better than nothing. Plus, you can cap another character if you're up for it in half the time. Just be glad you getting something.

Haha not lately. I can't quite pinpoint which update it was, but the one that killed free elixirs pausing in towns... I think also nerfed the "drop rate" of the Klaas combo and xp elixirs. I have four characters collecting rewards and Klaas hasn't given me a combo or xp elixir in ages.

But whatever, sorry for OT. I'll be there to level my toons. :) The "VIP elixirs" eh, whatever lol. I'll take it. It's free. Thanks for double xp weekend, STS.

I can understand where you are coming from. I'm sure from your perspective that the VIP reward doesn't feel very special. Although, given the general positive reaction to this announcement, I would say that there are a good number of people who are excited for both the event and the VIP elixirs. Maybe I can help you to better understand our motivation:


There is a significant percentage of people who open their wallet and spend on the game who do not have a character at the level cap.
Many players who are at the level cap enjoy playing another class. This is generally called "leveling up an alt" and is pretty common in Arcane Legends. This is why we put the elixirs on every character on the VIP's account.
Damage and move speed elixirs are also commonly used by characters that are level capped when farming for end game gear.


We know that not everyone will be excited for this VIP grant. It is really hard to please all of the people all of the time. Just like with our previous VIP crates or prior elixir grants, some enjoyed them and some didn't. That is just human nature and your feelings are understandable.

I saw the announcement and had to say something today.

I like the idea of rewarding the players. Maybe there should be different levels of VIP.

I have bought way over $100 easily on PL and AL and personally feel bad to be called VIP with people that spent less, or just maxed out their character.

Should I be in the same category as someone with less?

Just something to think about.

This is not a priority for me, just keep making good games. The VIP tag is just an incentive.

The VIP's dont need to be greedy! They have already got much more than the lower classes, anyway.

This is a kind, leg up the ladder, from STS, to the ones that need it, if they want to accept it. As SamHayne said, I have used this kind offer to level up a different character, as my main was already at the level cap. So there is something in this for all of us.

It is good to see STS showing that they still care about the vast majority of players who are not Elite, Platinum rich.

But, just a question to clarify for me. All that play that weekend will be getting the XP bonus, whether they use it or not? Because, doesn't the XP apply to our Pets if not us? So we could level up some pets that need it, right? Or, am I wrong?

Psycho, you are missing the point. This is not about rewarding VIP's. It is a chance for the ones that aren't VIP elite to catch up with their levels if they want to. Lets face it if you are VIP then you don't need any help do you?

STS will be kicking themselves for using the term 'VIP reward'. It is more of a gift. These gifts would cost platinum if we wanted to get them as usual!

I'm going to have to hop on the Sam train on this one. This gives you a chanes to level pets. I would consider myself a AL "big spender" and I would say everything I have purchased is an "award" it self. Example, "Yeah, i dropped blank amount of money so I can buy blank" that item you just bought is literally the return investment. Saying that, STS doesn't "have" to give us jack for free.

What if you spent over $2,000 on this game :/ that's what I consider vip....still nothing. ... :( this doesn't help me at all.....has sts ever thought about having different "vip" classes..it would work good with concept of the game too with the chests.for example

Bronze vip :spent$ 25-$99
Silver vip. : spent $100-$499
Gold vip. : spent $500-$999
Mythic vip : spent $1000-$2000
ARCANE VIP : SPENT OVER $2000

Your rewards from sts would be based on this level....I think this would help reward those higher paying customers and feel they are gr tting something....and be given specific item , vanity, weapon, pet, that you can only get from being in this level.....even bronze would get exclusive items that non playing players wouldn't get... I guarantee you you will get more people paying more money if they see me walking around with a grizzly bear with 30+ str, 20% damage, healthregen, mana regen, etc.... people would drive for that incentive, putting more money in sts pocket

Good idea, except on the highligted one. Maybe, when a new arcane pet will be introduced, Arcane VIP will get the chance to try them out for 3 days (not usable on pvp) as patronage. Then it will be uber rare droppable after.

They "Awarded" you whatever you bought with your money. This is just a free perk. Not much of a perk, but it's FREE. No one paid money with the intent of getting a V.I.P. reward.

I think it has started, got an update when I logged on a Min ago.

As far as the V.I.P. Elixirs, I think it's only given to one of your characters. I could be mistaken, but I think I grabbed them on my Alt Mage when I logged on earlier this morning when I meant to just grab the daily chests.
