suggestion to prevent hackers and account takers

Hi,
I just thought of this today.
Everyone that plays a MMO or any multi player game probably knows about hackers and people who ask for people's account info then change the victim's account info.

So I have a suggestion to stop that.
What if instead of being able to modify your account through your account when playing pl, if you were to modify your account, you click a buton and it sends a email to the person's email and they can change account info from there? That way hackers cant steal people's accounts.
Good idea?

That's actually not a bad idea. But, a better thing would be, not to give away your account details in the first place!? :p
