The Battle for Nordr expansion should go live later today.

The team is humming away on last minute polish, making sure all the i's are dotted and t's crossed :)

We will be posting the elite loot distribution later today as well. Like the Kraken Isles expansion. There are specific drops that drop from each of the 5 different bosses: Elite legendary helm, armor, and class specific weapons.

Also, all chests will have new versions. Old chests will only scale up to level 25-26 while the new version of chests will scale all the way up to level 31. Chest naming is as follows:

Battle of Nordr: War chests

Kraken Isles: Pirate Chests

Dead City: Banded Chests

Original Zones: Chests

Level 31 gear will only come from Elite Battle of Nordr zones and Elite War Chests.

Since locked crates are gated by when you open them (for the 15 Platinum price) as opposed to when you get them (like the dropped Elite Pirate Chests, for example), will scale up to level 31 once the Battle for Nordr expansion goes live.

I'm almost ready for Nordr, could do with some energy drinks and snacks but otherwise I've got a nice pile of gold, plenty of time, my internet was upgraded 2 days ago from just below 5Mbps to over 73Mbps (although pings aren't much better due to the small matter of a transatlantic link) and 19 locked crates to sell, but don't know wether to hang on to em or wait for more players to level up after Nordr for prices to hopefully rise.

Glad to hear that. Here's me: I'm drained from rushing 1.5 PvP kills and have been awake for the past 37 hours now as I type. I'm packing my things up to prepare myself for a flight tomorrow and I have been asked to fill in for my absent thesis mate in this short seminar later this evening (I plan to skip this for the update!) and the pressure surrounds me! My roommate failed to stop by and drop my fresh laundry here as well as my diner.. with all these, I still plan to rush to cap without elixir. Pray for me!

Unfortunately, this is the way it was the first season. With the new chests. Except that for some reason you still can't sell the Elite Chest II. And the items scaled all the way to 21.

Then this season, there were no new chest names and the items only scaled to 25.

Now in the new season we have new chest names again, with items only scaling to 26 in the old chests.

Please just tell us it will stay the same from now on.

Well, the mythic and arcane is the only reason I say they will keep some value.

Yes, existing chests will still have the same chance to drop what they did before. So, Elite Golden Pirate Chests will still have a chance to drop Mythic Helms and the Arcane Hooks.

It was an oversight on our part to not swap out the chests in the Kraken Isles. Our plans are to swap them out in the future.
