Battle for Nordr Expansion Elite Loot: Distribution, Mythics, Epics and Chests

The Battle for Nordr Expansion is Live!

Nordr, the frozen north, is the homeland of the Warrior and his ancestor, the legendary hero Uller. Uller and his companions Himingleva and Vili saved Arlor from a great evil 100 years ago. After discovering the defiled tomb of Himingleva as the source of an artifact that allowed Captain Bloodhammer to wreck havoc on the Kraken Isles, attention turns toward the north and Uller’s burial tomb, deep beneath the Stronghold of Nordr.

Legend goes that Gleipnir, an ancient device created to lock out a great evil, was shattered in to three pieces and each shard was granted to one of the three heroes. That way if the doorway to the ancient evil needed to be unlocked, it had to be a decision made by the three heroes together. That time is long since past, but the power of the three shards of Gleipnir has not waned.

As with most things, the devil is in the details. Let's take a closer look at the loot to be found in the Battle for Nordr expansion.

Arcane Rarity Items:

The Maul of Ollerus Arcane Warrior Hammer can be found in Elite Gold War Chests (from Elite Battle for Nordr bosses) and Locked Grand Crates of the Watch. The Maul is a slow, powerful weapon with high base damage that augments warrior abilities for bone crunching effect. The Maul can proc a surge of lightning that can stun nearby enemies and buff the wielder.

The Arcane Rogue Weapon: Blackbeard's Nefarious Hooks still drop from Elite Gold Pirate Chests II (from Elite Kraken Isles bosses) and Locked Grand Crates of the Watch.



Mythic Rarity Items:

New Mythic Armor can be found in Elite Gold War Chests (from Elite Battle for Nordr bosses) and Locked Grand Crates of the Watch.

Mythic Helms still drop from Elite Gold Pirate Chests II (from Elite Kraken Isles bosses) and Locked Grand Crates of the Watch.



Battle for Nordr Elite Loot Distribution:

Each of the 5 bosses in the 5 different Elite Battle for Nordr areas has the chance to drop specific items that are not found inside chests.

Oltgar Keep's Boss: Warrior Weapon - Entomed Hammer
Crystal Caverns' Boss: Rogue Weapon - Mountain's Teeth Daggers
Hall of Valheim's Boss: Noble Armor

Elite War Chests can have the "Champions" Elite Legendary armor set. The Noble Helmet and Armor that drop from the Bosses is itemized slightly ahead of the Champions armor set. Here are some pictures of the specific weapons:

Gear obtained from Elite Battle for Nordr zones scales up to level 31.

Gear obtained from Elite Dead City and Elite Kraken Isles zones scales up to level 30.

The Elite versions of Brackenridge and Rooks' Nest will no longer scale up. Gear obtained from those areas is capped at level 25.

All Epic (purple) items at all level ranges have had their base statistics improved to make them a more viable option.

The 7 day elixir always counts down - because it only lasts for 7 days. It is a lot different from all of the other elixirs in that they are in terms of minutes, while the 7 day is for 7 days. Plus, the 7 day elixir also adds on top of a 15 minute or 60 minute elixir.

I think his question stems from the fact that the 7-day elixir never used to count down in town.

The double exp doesn't work if you've already have the 60m combo elixir. By that I mean it says I cannot purchase the double exp elixir if I already have teh 60m combo up.

before this update none of the 7 day 2x xp elixir countdown unless u were in a dungeon. I've had mine since kracken first came out. Now it is running down when I'm not even in game.

the update seems nice. I get a little agitated with the constantly spawning mobs at the boss and the bosses high health and one hit abilities. I don't remember the other non-elite areas being this hard when they first came out. I guess I'll level up in hauntlet first and get better gear then go play the new areas. Will save me gold from spamming 60 mana pots a run and plat on plat revs. It's kinda disappointing that we have to do old areas to level up before we can enjoy the new ones.

That's how I thought it would be. I was just confirming this wasn't a one person case. I thought it was 7 consecutive calendar days when I bought it. When I saw it only counted down in dungeons I ask guild about it and they said that's how it worked since they were plat bought. Some guild members have had theirs for 2 or more caps.

The expiry timer for Elixirs granted by Shazbot and Klaas will always count down, even if you log out of the game. Note that this is NOT the case for Elixirs bought from the store.

any level would do for mythics and arcanes :) but for epics, pinks, etc. expect to get those at lvl 21

All crates have a chance at granting the Arcane and Mythic items, which only exist in the one level flavor that you see. Enjoy!

Are the items elite items dropped directly from the kraken isles elite bosses(flintlocks, bloodhammer helms, bloodhammer chest armors, flamberges, skewers, firesquids, and fangmaster rings, in respective order of bosses) still level 25/25, or are there now level 29/30 or 30/31 versions of these?

the only elixar u can stack with is the 7 day XP elixar any of the other ones you can not stack with, like you can do the 7 day and then the 60 min combo or the double in your case.

would be cool if after spending five to six hours a day farming one could actually get any lot in the last two expansions I have looted four legends onlyfarmingat least three hours a day you use till be able to farm one or two hours a day and get good lot now it takes weeks to get anything thus has severely destroyed the fun in farming and makes it very sad

I opened 35 elite gold warchests over the weekend and got one pink item total. I think the distribution may be out of whack since I got about 10 pinks from the elite silver and copper warchests I opened. I was under the impression that gold was supposed to have a higher chance of legendary items than the others, not the other way around.

I`m sure the mages are not unhappy atm.
Their mythic gun has already arcane esque stats and is more affordable than any arcane item.
As opposed to the warrior mythic sword, which is honestly a joke ...

Why the legs of warriors in mythic armor for warriors look so slim and tiny :) I think the person who is in charge in photoshop and desiging should pay more attention to shape of items, the legs are not balanced and makes warriors look funny. I hope the designer pay more attention towards designing.

ye for rouge are cool the shape of mythic armor is ok and well designed but warriors have tiny slim legs in mythic armor and makes warrior look funny, I don't know why the designer didn't make the legs look much muscular at least be balanced to overall shape.
This is a not good designing.( sorry to say that but the legs are so tiny and should be more muscular)
