Deathpunch posted something like this in the technical issues and bugs forum and it seems like it is necessary here as well.

1. When posting suggestions, try to put something descriptive in your thread title. Your suggestion is only going to get more traction if discussion ensues. Posting "Suggestions" is extremely vague. What happens is people don't actually see your suggestions and is usually the catalyst for rule 3. The discussion becomes very disjointed and there is no real driving force for change.

2. If you have several long suggestions, separate them. And remember rule #1.

3. I know everyone wants to have their voice heard. However, when making suggestions for STS, this isn't always the best way to get your point across. If there is already a discussion going on, add to it. Nothing is going to catch STS's collective eye more than an 8 page thread. Certainly more than 8 1 page threads. Use the search feature. It may be an old thread, but if it is still relevant, so what? Post in it. For example, the countless "Platinum Purchase Confirmation" threads.

4. Keep it clean. Threads get derailed too easily. When it happens, they get locked up or at worst deleted.

Just some ideas after reading through several of the suggestion threads.
