Well I currently have a level 75 warrior and am 3.5k Xp in... Do you think Ishould spend the plat on elixers to cap, is it worth the vanity that awaits or should I wait until they raise the cap so the Xp is less? I need 76s only to respond :D

just do it, i leasurely leveled got halfway to 56 at that cp now wish i had that dope CoP im not compaining cause i have a 3pc ring but i wear big luck atm lol

Do it, but at the same time learn more about your class to be a better player. Nobody likes a bad player even though they are level 76.
