Its true, after the Nordr update i think, mine was also counting down while in town and logged out, happened on 2 chars ... is it suppose to count down ?

They changed it so it counts down in towns and when you are offline

Why do all the elixirs count down while offline? Is that meant to happen? I can understand about a 7 day elixir, but I lost a 1 hour elixir because I had to quit and do other things. I logged back in and elixir had expired.

Thanks Lojack. I guess the lesson learned here is not to open ally chests unless you have at least 30 minutes to spend in the game.
