I had many problems with Pocket Legends in the past 3 weeks now. I was not able to login 1 week ago but I fixed that yesterday.

One week ago, when I was touching the PL icon to play on my iPod, it was crashing and kicking me out before I would login. Well yesterday, I've done this (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?179-Can-t-you-buy-new-dungeons-Getting-quot-Sandbox-quot-Error-Here-is-solution!!) tutorial. So I changed "installd" to "installd.new" and when it was asking me if I had "installd.backup", it wasn't there.

So now, I tried to only do the "installd" to "installd.new" and I tried PL after. It was working again but I couldn't get on iTunes or Apple Store. So now, I cannot buy platinum and I want to buy some for AO3! -.- When I go on "Buy Platinum" on PL, it says "Contacting iTunes Store..." all the time and I cannot buy Platinum. :'(

This is what I get all the time when I try to buy platinum:

So, anyone has an "installd.backup" file to give me so I can use it or anyone has a solution without restoring my iPod please ?

Thank you.

Have you tried this?

1) uninstall the game from your phone while not plugged into iTunes
2) uninstall the game from iTunes, then empty your trash (Mac) or reccyle bin (windows)
3) sync your iphone
4) download PL from iTunes App Store and sync again
5) give it a shot.

iTunes is broken or you cant use it because you have a jail broken device and wrong iTunes version? iTunes can be fixed you know.

I'm assuming you are on Windows? If so, is it XP, Vista or 7?

And what happens when you open iTunes?

I'm on Windows Vista.

When I open iTunes on desktop, it says "Fatal error at the installation" and it doesn't open.

Why not just try reinstalling iTunes?

When I open iTunes on desktop, it says "Fatal error at the installation" and it doesn't open.

1) Ok, in Vista, go to your control panel, "programs" icon, remove iTunes if it is there and remove Quicktime if it is there.
2) Clean out your temp folder - http://pcsupport.about.com/od/maintenance/ht/manualtempvista.htm
3) go to progams, accessories, command line, right click on command line, run as administrator, then at the prompt type "chkdsk /f", say "Y", type exit and the prompt will go away
4) reboot
5) go to itunes.com and reinstall iTunes with the package that includes Quicktime

Hopefully that gets you in the right direction.

okay, the uninstall ALL Apple Software from the computer (iTunes, Quicktime AND the Apple Software Updater). The error you are getting can sometimes be caused by a corrupt Apple Software Updater.

Or we can use TeamViewer and I could try to fix it remotely.

I'm willing to bet you have other system issues as well besides the iTunes thing.

I tried to uninstall all the Apple product on my computer too. Didn't work.

Well when I was installing iTunes this time, it was saying that I needed to update Windows Update (means that I need to do an update before installing). I tried to install the update but it stays at 0%. Name of the package to install is: Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (KB948465)..

Have you tried the standalone package install for SP2 rather than using Windows Update?

Here is the 32-bit version:

Is it possible you've run out of space on your hard drive? First try running your disk cleanup if you don't do that regularly. If there is a space issue, try uninstalling and deleting other programs you don't use. Also, how long are you waiting for the update to install. SP2 is a pretty sizeable installation if I remember, and it could take a while. (Edit: Oh wait, nevermind that last part, I have XP ;) )

I tried that. Says the installation didn't work and they give me this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821 but I've already tried these things too. :(

Bump please someone !

I wish I could help but at this point it seems like what you're dealing with is a pretty major issue with your system. Maybe someone has some additional advice, but if I were you I'd try maybe contacting Windows support to figure out why you can't install SP2. Once you get that figured out, you should be able to install a working iTunes, and solve your PL issues.

Why "Never mind...." ?

Because I started to ask you a question which you had answered in a previous post (I.e. I didn't read as carefully as I should have). And because of the answer, my idea wouldn't work. As the old saying goes, I got nothin', other than follow Royce's advice--it sounds like a problem MS is going to have to help you with.

Yeah, you have major system issues going on. I would look into getting a techy to backup your data, reinstall Vista fresh (with a format), and put your data back on.
