I asked before how many guilds there are and u said about 10 K. So, I was thinking, about how many of those guilds are actually active? I'm sure there are some that just made a guild to get the AP or aren't active anymore.

Im not sure if this is the correct place to ask you questions like this, should I make another thread?

Don't know the exact answer to that one, as it's difficult to define "active", and it's a pretty expensive query to find out the "activity" level for all guilds. We only run the guild "Active %" query for the top 50 guilds.

However, if it's useful information, only about half (5K) have more than 10,000 APs.

Dude, in timed runs lb can win 100 diferent players , in all leaderboard can be (I didnt calculated) about 400-600 diferent players, so ofc Stg can hundle this.
Let Stg answer this question , they re the only one who knows that

OMG, I feel so humbled to be back in the top 50 guild. Even though the guild has been inactive for quite so long, we still managed to bring it back up. It is such a great honor to start off our 2014. I was thinking it would be interesting to know how many of the top guilds are products of merges as compared to those who remain pure. No way to get that from the db I'm sure, but would be a fun statistic to see one day.

No way to know just from looking at the db. Probably the best way to know when a guild merge is happening is to keep up with in-game and forum chatter.
