I wasnt using any combo, which I cant prove but I got unbanned about 2 hrs before I made the vid so I wasn't able to get any elixers yet.

me and my friend had 1.5x and 3x and the rest of the team had dmg or combos (no plat bought lixes) and did the dragon in about 3 minute runs over and over without having problems, you just have to do it right.
And I wouldn't call 7 minutes of fighting "Hax".

You right but they only did this will two people and had almost full health during the whole thing I guess that was the point.

Point is, Elite Red Dragon is too easy to even be considered elite. You simply have to outlast the 3 waves of mobs that the Elite Red Dragon spawns, and other than that it's merely just a simple tank and spank.

The question of whether red dragon is too easy hits on a fundamental point in PL that there isn't really a good way to resolve. They can either design a run like red dragon that can be managed without requiring elixirs, therefore becoming "easy" to a party that uses them, or they can make one that challenges even the a full elixir group and get criticized for designing a run that "requires" elixirs. The red dragon run for the current cap is the first type; the guru elite battle at 71 cap was the second type.
Personally, I think they should design battles like red dragon where elixirs are not the only way to get through them. To do otherwise simply completes the takeover of elixirs as the only way to play PL, which is already more or less true for most aspects of the game (certainly for anyone who caps multiple toons). Although this strategy means that those who use elixirs may find it not challenging enough, it's still a better option than leaving out those who can't/won't use elixirs.
The real issue here, though, is that elixirs provide a way to get 300% stronger than normal. As long as such a thing exists, it's impossible to design content that is challenging to the entire PL community. Combat that is tough but doable for "normal mortals" will be easy for anyone who's all jacked up, and anything hard for elixir uses will necessarily be completely out of reach for non-users. A factor of 3x is just too large to find a one-size-fits-all difficulty level.

Elixirs for the Elite Bosses! ha ha
If a member in your party has an elixir, the boss gets the same elixir, up to the best one being used!
A new vid is rendering, It took me 75 min te record and bout 2 days to montage (+-4hrs) (I fail at montaging as does my pc).
It's my best work so far and it even concludes something special about elixers :).
I think it will be up in 20-30 min.
