Congrats Oldcoot! You're so pro! This time I gave up after the third. After 2.5 years, I've finally ventured into pvp and twinkling. Requires less platinum and less time. But kudos to you! That's an awesome achievement!

Money is there to be spent.
What you choose to spend your own money on is your choice and your choice only. As long spending the money made you happy and left you satisfied, I would not say that your money went to waste.
When you buy a Mercedes Benz, you arguably are wasting tons of money considering you can get a Nissan Versa for $11,000 or less - brand new.
However, when you drive the Benz versus the Versa, there is a huge difference. Heck, even between Lexus and Benz, there is a huge difference. With the Benz, I can handle the tightest corners and swerves at higher than normal speeds without the car even breaking a sweat.
To me, the extra money spent is worth the satisfaction.
Obviously, for you, you cannot justify spending the platinum. It's a difference in opinion. Everybody has their own views on how to spend their money.
