That's easy to explain. There is NO risk in pessimism. If you say everything is lousy all the time, sometimes you are right, but if you are wrong (and notice it) then it still feels good. But there is a huge risk to optimism. If you are right, apparently only you care about that, but if you are wrong it can sting.It is for some reason "cool" to be miserable. Maybe it's defensive, but I think there is a social acceptance factor. And that just adds to the risk of being optimistic. Not only do you take a chance of being letdown emotionally, you take a chance of being seen as a simpleton. In sum, we are socially conditioned to be grouches. So to review... pessimism low risk / optimism high risk. It's as simple as that.

I agree there are some kinks to work out and always will be it's the nature of software development. I do feel that STS does do a good job of listening to it's very large community and delivering a solid product with lots of new to boot. STS games have been providing me entertainment for well over a year now so I would like to give a big thank you as well.

@ Psycho, Being active is one thing, spamming is on a totally different level. Look at posts #: 3, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, those posts were kinda unnecessary. Try editing your original post to add some of those things in and remember, "Its not about the quantity, its about the Quality".
