View Full Version : Aimed shot crit duration bug

According to the skills screen aimed shot shot's deadly focus upgrade increases critical chance by 10% for 5 seconds. However I tested it and found it actually lasts 10 seconds. I made a video demonstrating this with a timer above the screen showing it lasts 10 seconds. So I believe that it should only be 5 seconds and not 10 seconds. So this seems like a bug.

Its a bash shell. I use Linux. I run recordmydesktop from a bash shell (command line).

This is a good bug to catch. Perhaps this is reasons rogues always seem like they can crit.

That cause we can. Crit increase is 5sec and cool down is only 2sec. I'll add that my Aim Shot's upgrade looks just fine, you should have considered youself lucky.

The crit buff stacks, each stack is on an independent timer, just like the mage frostbolt dot, etc..

Fire an AS. Use a stop watch. I get 10.99 seconds until the display goes away. Whether it is a display bug or not? Doubt we will ever know.

True. I can remember seeing many warrior weapon with high damage display but the damage output was pathetic. Got to sell them for a nice price because of that display bug.

Well a sts dev already posted. now when this bug fixed hope no ones gonna say the crit of rogue still OP. cause now if that 5 seconds occurs it will just stack up to 2 or 3 means +20% to 30% . i hope this will be the key to balance pvp game :)

Yay, warriors and mages get their PvP balance. Hope they also like getting pummeled in PvE when the mobs aren't dead yet!

good find, this is indeed a bug!

When fluffnstuff showed our trap skill wasn't doing the damage it showed in the description you didn't change the skill, you changed the description. I hope you will follow the same precedent here. You have already nerfed us too much as it is. Regardless of what you intended aimed shot to do when the game first came out you have balanced us with the crit lasting 10 sec instead of 5. If you really want to keep the balance we have in pvp you will have to nerf both warriors and mages to keep the playing field level. I'm just disappointed that I bought 1700 plat this weekend. I guess if you do change it i can contact support and try to get some of my money back.

Also, how could you guys not already know about this? Every good rogue has known this since their first week playing, we just assumed it was a description flaw. It's the same as when you guys acted surprised how much xp hauntlet and wt4 gave.

As fluff said, good luck getting any groups at all to play elite zones once the main damage dealers have been nerfed yet again.

This is part of balance, rogues were never meant for mobs but individual kills, mobs control is meant for mages. Plus mage and warrior PVP Nerf is funny coming from the class with highest amount of PvP kills and best K/D ratios.

I would argue warriors ability to stop crits for a few seconds was a work around for this issue. Perhaps this should be removed with rogue crits since rogues will not be able to stack their abilities 4-5 times.

I have characters of ever class and do see this as a positive for the game in the long run. Next thing I suggest should be corrected is an immunity timer for warrior invincibility similar to the stun one.

I wouldn't worry too much about rogues getting nerfed. About a week after I posted the nox bolt bug it was fixed.
