Recently, I have made a bear because I wanted to know more about the class. After playing it, this is a build that I think may be a good one for down the road. :) Please comment with suggestions, if I get something wrong, or just a comment :)
To start out. I would say that you get beckon and stomp to max level given that is the only crowd control combo in the game. Next, I would get taunt. This will take the pressure off the rest of the party and allow it to flow smoothly. Taunt will be especially important on bosses, this is because the birds will be attacked by the bosses because they are doing the most damage. To ensure that the party survives and defeats the boss, use taunt so you can let the archers do what they do best. Kill quickly!
Now to where you would put your attributes. I would say that you put in just enough to use strength gear but put the rest into dex, that way you will have a higher dps, crit, and hit chance. Plus the strength gear gives you more armor that way you can still play the way a warrior should. These will all make the bear a little bit more interesting given that more dps and hit chance equals more kills.
In conclusion, I believe that a bear with just enough strength for strength gear and the rest into dex would be an unstoppable boss. This is because you will have plenty of health (Over 600) and you will do damage with the beckon+stomp combo.
