Does anyone now if it would be possible for a dev to de-level my main character (a Lvl 75 bird) back down to Lvl 60?

Nah, u can only get de-leveled by 1 level, sorry.

Sometime ago people who had purchased over 10k plat recieved a pm, at that time and had an opportunity to get a free character and have it boosted to a desired level.
Dolloway, at that time 71, asked to de-level his main toon to 56 instead of getting a free character.
He got back to 71 later when he got bored of 56 though.
That is the only case of de-leveling to more than 1 level that i know of.

I believe Samhayne said that they no longer Delevel toons and he said that if you want a toon at a lower level to make a new one for 5 plat.

Kinda sucks...
Plus, who in the right mind would spent 10k Plat (I'm imagining a crap load of money to be spent) JUST for a character to be leveled. Jeez.

The email we received for the free toon was the same email informing us of the angel gear which was for 50 $ or hitting 66. I never saw the amount 500 in any post or email, where is that figure from?

You only got the email if you have spent $500 worth of platinum on STS. If you didn't, you would not have gotten the email. In a way, it was considered a VIP email.
I hope that clarifies things.

Damn nah but i got angelic set im content. I also have a few original names and have gotten an item recovered just for collection purposes so im sure one meisly toon isnt as good as that xD

I was so preoccupied with the new content, I didn't open the email untill recently, I never got the new toon anyway, DERP!
