Dreams of a L61 or 66 Mage... Reality?

Hey guys,

I have a L51 Mage that I dream of leveling to 61 or 66. First off, which level should I go to? I'm aware of the fact that L66s can have 9 skill points, but L61 sets are cheap. On the other hand, I have all 3 Angelic sets. Also, I figure I'll pick up some money from farming either way, so I'll be able to afford the L66 Islander's set, or the L61 Lilith set (mainly the hood, because it's insanely expensive compared to the rest of the set). So now it's up to you. But if I go to L66, I could get the L65 Lilith set. Which level should I go to?

I'm waiting until the next Platinum sale, so I can get 165 Platinum, which could be more than enough if I got a generous person to level me. (Hi Apollo ;) jk) I would get either:
A) 4x Combo Elixer
B) 4x XP elixer.

Which (letter) elixer should I get? (LEAVE A LETTER)

If you're leveling a twink, the odds are that you'll be running alone a majority of the time. Thus, I would have to go with letter A) in order to get effective use out of your elixir.

Secondly, the L61 Lilith set and L66 Islander set are actually similarly priced, you could go either way.

Personally, I prefer L61 over L66, so I would suggest L61. Plus, you can still always farm dragon with a L61.

I've farmed without elixirs on a L61 just fine. If you know your boss mechanics, you should be fine.

I know you can. I said "still" because L66 PvP is not very active and often times, it intermingles with 71s which have you completely outclassed with OP L71 gear.

But at 61 you'll be against a lot of 56s. 66 is pretty large due to all the angel nubs.

FYI, false. Islander has superior hit, and Humanians also has some trade offs. Angel sets are just for dodge, meaning it can make things easier, but not better. Islander will be better as a whole if you know how to use it, angel is just a better choice if you don't know what you're doing because your dodge is much more forgiving. Imo, angel ruins the balance of 66 PvP.

Actually he is right, str humanian and str angel have their individual plusses. Angel Dex is a 1h set (talon), so you are forced to buy the humanian xbow set (sun god). Islander has +10 hit % and +1 wand dmg and an incredible darkbolt wand + weakness combo than angel set for a trade off of 4 dodge, which imo it's well worth it.

L66 pvp is more active compared to L61.

If l66 gear is outclassed with 5 level higher l71 gear than , l66 is way much more op compared to 5level lower l61, due to max skill point allocation.

I agree. Except with the activity part. I'm leaning towards the 61 side for activity, but it's debatable

Yes, I do know that L66 is way more OP vs. a L61, but you usually do not have an issue of L66s rushing you (well, at least in my case). Also, when you're L66, you're more likely dealing with L76s as well which actually happens often considering the amount of 76 games present & the increasing popularity of 71 PvP. Most 71s join a 66 game & most 66s create a 66 game since nobody really fights them in a 61 game due to the large gap.

My true opinion is just to have both. I personally prefer 61 because of reasons explained, but you can go either way. It is my personal opinion & we could argue about it for days on end, but in the end, it's just which style of PvP you prefer. I love demonic, so I pick 61.

I would have both, but I'm short on plat and not fond of slowly lvling. My Mom took my iPod away for 2x XP weekend btw. -.-"
