is warrior = DPS type or its damage is based on skill?

Warrior is a tank, i.e. armor and health; not damage. A decent warrior will have maybe a little less than 200 dmg at lvl 31. Depends how you're geared. But as a warrior you'll need to focus on STR, which increases your health. Your damage will never be as high as rogues' or mages'. Your skills give a lot of damage compared to your auto attack.
