Koko's Arcane Buff Range

Koko's arcane ability, a nice buff to str, dex, and int, has virtually no range on it. You practically must stand on top of Koko to receive it (this applies to party members as well). Since no one actually stands on top of their pet while fighting, is there any plans to have Koko's arcane ability range increased?
