Hello friends,

I wanted to let you know about a change in my world. I recently changed my surname from von Minden to my wife's surname, Leary. I am sharing this with you now as you will likely see it on future Producer's Letters or other communication.

When my wife and I were first married, she kept her lastname. I could have cared less. We were in love and that's all that mattered. Fast forward 5 years and two beautiful children later and the difference in last name came to weigh on me. I didn't like seeing my kids name different from their mother's. As we talked about it and the many hoops to jump through to change her name (she is a permanent resident here, plus her professional certifications, etc.) I offered up changing mine. There were many personal reasons to go this route, but at the end of the day, it was the right thing to do for our family and my commitment to it - everything else flows out of that.

So, same guy here, just with a nifty new name. :)
