A Guide to Feeding Your Vampire, or How to Keep your Vampire in Blood

(Helpful Tip #5666)

Keeping your vampire in blood is very important to keeping yourself alive (animated?). A vampire's "soul" is in the blood.

But after pommeling those ghouls, being slathered in fountains of blood, do you sometimes find yourself thirsting, but when you try to feed (by tapping/clicking on Name: Screen Shot 2012-05-08 at 1.02.51 AMsm.png

Size: 6.0 KB or hitting Q), you find yourself standing about doing nothing?

Even when there are plenty of walking blood sacks surrounding you?

The Reason!
Due to blood loss, your vampire is confused. You are having a hard time focusing on the zombies surrounding you, or are trying to feed on that nearby mailbox or the mirage of the plastic bags. Do you think the zombies touching you look like rocks but the mailbox looks yummy?

To see, and feed, better, the hungry vampire needs to move around, away from the zombies. A couple steps one way or another will do.

When you tried to feed, your skull probably lost it's pulsing maw. As long as it's still fully red, you should be good to bite. You just need to move a bit, so you can better focus on a zombie to feed. So move a bit, away then back towards the zombies. The skull's mouth will open and pulse, it's eyes will flash. Feed quickly and save yourself!

If you have lost the fully red skull, then it's time to break out those extra blood packs in your jacket.

Sometimes using your skills when the skull's mouth is open but before you feed results in you losing some of your skull's blood, in which case, you will need to fill that up again.

Sometimes, you are in a time vortex and out of sync with the current time continuum (lagged). In this case, break out the blood packs already and hope to be able to put some in your out-of-sync vampire.

You do know to not carry more than 25 blood packs, right? You can refill your blood packs a tiny amount in the dungeons, so you should leave room in your pockets. The standard blood pack pocket can carry just 25 blood packs before it will be full. Once it is full, you will need room before you can get yourself a free blood pack from within a dungeon.

Anyways, moving around, even away from and then back to, the surrounding ghouls, zombies, werewolves, and humans should allow you to feed, should you find yourself with a hungry skull but misplaced focus, as long as you and the ghouls are still in the same dimension!
