The "Sworn Protectors of Rusk" are the Rusk family's guard. They are recruited when they are quite young and from the poorest families in the neighboring villages. Each conscript is given a unique opportunity: to give their life to Rusk. When you perish, your family will receive the Servant's Trove: a chest filled with gold, jewels, and magical items... a portion of wealth that will forever elevate the station of a conscript's family. If a conscript dies in combat protecting Rusk or a member of the Great Man's family, then the conscript's family receives a tenfold gift of the Champion's Trove: a massive carriage made of gold, with golden wheels, pulled by twin Arcanite Stallions, filled with magical artifacts.

Sworn Protectors are trained by the wizened war-masters of Arlor and equipped with the finest armor...


How to Play

Speak with Rylie Rusk in Windmoore to collect a daily quest and get started.

Enter the portal and begin the mission to escort Peylon safely to Kraag.

You'll run alongside Peylon's armored caravan and fend off waves of enemies along the road, culminating in a face-off against Tokras Fel himself.

Each time you enter the event zone, Rusk Industries will give you a bundle of 'Rusk Dynamite' and a flask of 'Rusk Nitro.' When used, they will drop at your location and affect a 5m radius.

Use the Dynamite to blow up barriers along the road. Use the Nitro to speed up the Rusk Weapon Wagon. But watch out! Nitro overdrives the Weapon Wagon engines, and the heat makes the Wagon much more vulnerable to enemy attacks.

Look for the blue 'targeting area' to show where a bomb needs to be dropped to hit a barrier. If you drop it too far outside the range, you'll lose the bomb, and the barrier will be untouched.

It's a race against time to slay the hordes before the caravan can't take any more and is destroyed, Peylon along with it.

Points are awarded after each wave is complete:

Wave Score
1 5 - 15
2 10 - 20
3 15 - 25

Additional score and tokens are awarded based on the health of Peylon's armored caravan when it reaches its final destination:

51 - 70% 20 - 40 35
1% to 50% 10 - 30 30

Note: Peylon Rusk drops tokens from his caravan when it is safe. Be sure to loot your tokens before leaving!

Tokras Fel also has a chance to drop the Tokras Fel Badge!

Farmer's Elixir

Using the Farmer's Elixir will compel Rusk Industries to give you +1 Dynamite, +1 Nitro when you enter the Last Valley dungeon, and 25% Gold Loot and Movement Speed. Duration: 10m.


Tokens & Vendor

Each successful run earns players Rusk Coins, which can be spent at the vendor in town for a sampling of the Rusk treasure trove.

I mentioned in the 2026 Letter to the Community that we're designing an immense overhaul of the Seasonal LB system. Plans include the creation of an new type of competitive character, an entirely separate economic system for these characters, and loads of content changes (mostly related to loot) that combine to create a fresh, exciting, and very new Seasonal experience.

Unfortunately this effort has exploded in size and is now way bigger (and will take a lot longer) than I had anticipated!

That's the bad news: our New Season gameplay is still a long ways off and it will not be going Live anytime soon.

The good news is: we are separating the loot content, the various game systems and feature improvements that were originally part of the 'New Season' effort so that we can bring them to you sooner! Piece-by-piece, stuff like our Character Stash feature (already Live), and an upcoming loot overhaul that includes Mythic and Arcane gear that drop from Campaign content will be prioritized for release in the very near future.

Our vision of the New Season experience involved all of these things as a massive update akin to a new Campaign / Level Cap raise... but that's not realistic.

Instead of putting it ALL off 'til who-knows-when, we'll be bringing some of the juiciest parts to you first.

Oh also, I plan on posting a separate discussion on elite timed LB difficulty and changes that we can make in the short-term to enrich competition. Should be an exciting thread for everyone.

We'll post individual updates on things like looted power items and other features as they come into focus.

What's New

There are some changes to the mechanics of this year's event. Check out the details below!

- Bun-Bun is now a combat encounter... prepare for a fight!
- With the exception of the Platinum Egg, colored Eggs from egg machines have been removed in favor of adding Bunny Baskets by rarity.
- The 2026 Platinum Egg gives a minimum of 50 Platinum!
- Last year's Platinum egg limit and hud display counter have been removed

Overview

This is an Energy/Leaderboard event. Energy Portals to Bun-Bun's Lair have opened across Arlor! Battle through monsters, destroy the egg machine, and defeat Bun-Bun to earn Egg Hunt Baskets. Open them for rewards or craft them into higher-rarity baskets! Earn event score points in Bun-Bun's Lair!

The two-week event will begin on Thursday, 3/26 at ~1:30 PM CDT and run through Thursday, 4/09 at ~1:30 PM CDT, with a 3-day cooldown and no reset.

You will be traveling to the Headquarters of Bun-Bun, the world's angriest rabbit. If you're looking to improve your efficiency, look for the Egg Smasher Elixir!

The Egg Smasher Elixir reduces damage and push effects from Evil Egg Turrets and Bun-Bun. Lasts 10 min. Only counts down in Bun-Bun's Lair!

Your mission is to defeat Bun-Bun! Minions, Egg Machine, and Bun-Bun all drop baskets!
