MMORPG.com's Garrett Fuller talks with Spacetime Studios' Design Director Eli Holding to discuss the upcoming mobile MMO Star Legends: The Blackstar Chronicles. Here's a small clip:

MMORPG.com: What part of Star Legends are you most excited about? Do you have a favorite feature?

Eli Holding: We really wanted to keep the heart and soul of Pocket Legends game play alive and well in Star Legends, but we also realized that there was so much more we could do. Our technology is extremely flexible and powerful. It often isn't a case of �can� we do something but rather �should� we do something. One of the things we decided on was adding usable items to the world. This opened up a huge variety of different puzzles and challenges that we can present to players.

Oh, and guilds.

"The real difference for me came from the barrage of lasers that might be typical in a sci-fi game. It is glorious to get into a fire fight and have your tiny smartphone speakers straining against all of the noise. In a weird way, fighting in the metal corridors of Star Legends reminded me so much of those famous laser battles in Star Wars -- all that was missing was a rope swing across a metallic ravine. Star Legends definitely feels sci-fi. There are robots, aliens and cool space-armor. There is even one NPC who randomly wanders around the Blackstar -- the home base for everyone -- wearing a bubble-topped suit. The design is cute but not silly; definitely cartoony but not goofy. The graphics are actually rather impressive when you realize they come only in mobile version." ...

Star Legends: The Blackstar Chronicles has been submitted for review to Verizon�s V CAST for Android Devices!

Spacetime Studios is excited to announce that Star Legends: The Blackstar Chronicles will very shortly be entering into a limited Beta for Android! We have partnered with Verizon Wireless to release Star Legends through the V CAST. The App has been submitted for Verizon to review and anticipate it will be available on the V CAST within a week or less!

Pocket Legends Expansion Announced - Music, Madness and Blood!

A dark swirl of dank places, mental maladies, rollicking music and blood... is poised to sweep across the land of Alterra! Spacetime Studios is pleased to announce the next expansion coming soon to the world's largest Mobile MMO: Pocket Legends.

Music, Madness and Blood!
The character level cap will be increased to 60 (with 61 for the hardcore!)

Two new adventure areas for 55+ characters:

Nuri�s Hallows � a decent into madness as the Pocket Circus comes to town
Mount Fang � think Vampires and you have the picture�

New functionality � Guilds!

Create a band of your friends, unified under the name of your Guild
Share a guild name over your head or Icon to quickly identify you and your fellow guildies.
Private Guild Hall to meet up and hang out

Guild functionality will also be found in Star Legends: The Blackstar Chronicles.

This next expansion to Pocket Legends is set to release later this summer. Stay tuned for more details as we reveal what it means when we say there will be �Music, Madness and Blood!�

Circus Towne: The Circus is the main towne and quest hub for the new level 55+ adventure area, Nuri's Hallows. Here's a quick peek at this area.

Nuri's Undead: As you enter one of the adventure areas included in Nuri's Hallows, you'll see a camera sweep of the area. This is a new piece of tech our area designers have access to that was originally developed for Star Legends: The Blackstar Chronicles that is now included in Pocket Legends.
