Just because they're undead doesn't mean their bodies function any differently. Yeah, they're reanimated corpses, but the body still needs neural pathways to send messages from their rudimentary brains to command their body parts to move.
My point - the spine needs to be recognized as a large, viable target.
A general rule of thumb is the area at and below the point of trauma of a spinal injury becomes affected by the lack of communication. It's not really hard and

Great episode of Walking Dead. No spoilers, but damn good episode.
So I've been giving more thought to this zombie apocalypse thing. All common zombie knowledge tells us that you have to destroy the brain to destroy the creature. The more I think about it, the more I call B.S. I don't care how you slice it, muscles only work one way - blood flow (or lack thereof) causes them to contract and relax. Well, skeletal muscle anyway. I mean that's it. Kinda like fire - you have to

So I noticed another user had a thread here about insomnia and dark thoughts.
I also have insomnia...I guess. By my count, I've seen at least 20-25 dead bodies in my career - 3 of those I watched draw their last breaths. Of those 3, 2 were traffic accidents and one was a stabbing. I've also been unlucky enough to bear witness to 2 very, very horrible cases of child abuse. So, yeah.
Now I won't put on my tough guy hat and pretend like it's never bothered me, but I

Saw this on a buddy's tee shirt the other day at the gym.
So here's my stance - things aren't always perfect. Lord knows I wish they were, but they aren't. What we do, maybe what we are, is little more than a band-aid. We aren't doctors and surgeons, and those are the people you'll want to repair and heal you. In the meantime, we are the quick fix. We can help in the short term. We can stop the bleeding, but you're gonna want to see someone to get that thing stitched up.

...so generally if you see me on the forums or in-game at an odd hour I'm either working or restless.
I've never blogged before either, so I hope this doesn't end up a fassive mailure.
So I've been thinking about the best course of action for the impending zombie apocalypse. Survivability has got to be nil if you don't get out of the big cities, no? I think you need to get somewhere fairly secluded and weather the storm, THEN try to regroup with fellow survivors.
