Biography:

love hiking.. photography.. & ultimately my family...Emran Mohd Tamil is a lecturer at the Department of System and Computer Technology, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Malaya. He obtained his Master of Science in Information Technology from the Universiti Teknologi Mara in 2004. His research interest is system-on-chip & embedded system application across several field such as network security, jawi & quran recitation recognition and medical signal processing application. Among his key research collaborators are Mr Yamani Idna (UM),Mr Zaidi Razak (UM), Madihah Mohd Saudi (USIM), Dr Azmi Mohd Tamil (UKM) and Noorzaily Mohamed Noor (UM).Until end of May 2008, he has authored/co-authored 7 journal papers, 3 book chapters and 44 conference proceedings. He played an active role in 20 research grants from various government agencies and institutions in which the total value is approximately RM2 million. He had also won 17 exhibition awards at national & international level.
