Mages are indeed an easy target for Rogues but Mages also have to know how to play their class.. I've met just one Mage, as far as now, who was able to kill me (Rogue) in Capture the Flag, everytime...

I do like the str as a rouge. Just keeps me alive a bit longer without using pots.
