Since the altars are 30k each just multiply the amount removed from a players inventory and give them the gold. Also do this with other items, check the auction for what they sell for. Im sure others...

Yes. Left-over items you get from future events (that cannot be used after the event or the event cool-down) will be deleted automatically. We're planning to add a 'count-down' in the item...
