get some engineer friends
Farm Vanities or tons of 1k credit weapons.
don't spend a single credit on stimpacks.
go on a 48 hour SL binge.

This is always for PL players who come over to SL, 1,000 gold on PL is ~100 credits in SL.

keep playing, get vanity or napalm then sell it :-)
