There are many guides in the AL Player Guides section.

Just let him play and answer as questions arise. I always do this when I'm learning something new: I throw myself into it and while I'm trying to shovel it out, I gain experience.

Just type in youtube arcane legends like tips/beggining explaining and you should find it

I do not think there is such a video but you can find many helpful videos for new players so I guess show him every video on ytb explaining something you find important.
