Account badges can be used by all characters. We do have some existing account badges (seasonals)...

You will need to click on the Egg crafting component and then select a Pet Egg to use in the recipe.

Did you do the quest? Also you need to click where it says for example epic egg or legendary egg ect and select which egg you want to use to craft the essence

You will get 5 'bonus' tokens in addition to those that you loot from the monsters and those that are awarded by the surviving crates.
