Bug or intended action as usual [emoji848]

So I was thinking what’s the community’s opinion about that short video.

And my main question to developers is why does that exist? (Unless you can actually explain it in a logical way).


Some even said this occurs in zodias 3/4 map too with minis that release the “bubble” attack.
(By the way orrick map was out since 2018)


I am aware you might be very busy providing us exciting and fun gameplay, specially in last weeks but please have a look into that to prevent further deaths, not everyone have multiple lives, and say whatever you want to say this isn’t the way to die, thanks.

This kind of interaction should really not take a place. Leaving a map should be an indicator for boss to not hold the same interaction when player rejoins the map - as an example here to just die for no reason to curse that was just randomly recasted even without boss interaction. Whilst this might not be super damaging experience to casual player/character, any hardcore character aware or not of this is just straight up under the guillotine at this point.
Something should be done about it.

When a boss resets it should reset any effects/attacks/environments associated with the boss as well.
Otherwise it results in unpredictable behavior like in this video.

If this isn't a ground reason to revive his hc character, I don't know what is.

Bug or otherwise it doesn’t seem right at all to lose a character like that.

In standard elite map, the boss hp is reset and his position is reset to its original spot but skills/spells are not reset(?)
How is the player even supposed to know about this when they look at the boss with 100% hp after they joined the same map. Misleading.
This bug(?) started with the timed and untimed elite separation.

Him and anyone who went with him and died, deserve a free reset for thier hc character.
Reset to state before death if possible with all the aps/pve/level he had before death.

Spent some time looking at this. Sure, the encounter could use some tell indicators for his attacks, but this encounter was several expansions ago and has not changed in years.

Incorrect, and so was I saying it came out in 2018. It has started when timed and untimed separation had a place. Otherwise how would you be able to come back to a map?

This has been a thing since before the timed change.

You could die, respawn for free, and people would be able to join as the boss resets.

Agreed, does not apply to hardcore mode though. And the premise of that thread was regarding a hc situation, my bad if I wasn’t too vocal about it.

It sounds like there's an issue with his reset logic, that's been there for many years.

We'll look into it when there's time, but doesn't seem like a priority to me given its age, and as always, hardcore is at your own risk.
