I feel like the boss in Infested is always targeting me when there is no warrior around.

Yeah just bring a tank with taunt skills they made it this way so tanks are are needed.
Glowstick AA works too if timed right I think it's around 2 seconds after you see skull use glow.

Yeah mages definitely needs a buff they slow runs by 30 seconds

We run 2 mages 2 rogues and best time was 58s. Average 1:05.

Rogs around 4.5k dmg and mage one bs one ds. We can protect all skulls except one with 2 glow but a cottonkill can prevent that one too. No lix needed with good stats.

Have you tried 3 mage vs 3 rogue? My fastest time is 1m6sec 3 rogue 1 tank rogues had 3.7k-4k dmg

Was this before balance staff nerf? Or is it still good?

No good way to test this really as mage dmg is based on luck with procs but from what i've seen when a rogue in pt gets replaced with mage there is a noticable difference.

Speak for yourself, the majority of mages do not have unlimited funds for that good stats!!!

The bosses always target the weakest player. It means you need to step up you game or play with weaker player.

It's random skulls attack can target the most op person ever or someone with really low stats.
Only a few ways to stop it targetting you:
1. Tank with taunt and good timing taking the aggro off you
2. Well timed glowstick blocks dmg by 95%. Cottonkill works sometimes but its not a sure thing maybe with high armor idk...
3. Using the Corners to block his view on edge of map
4. Mages can time shield invincibility

Also any good tanks who want to do infested add my rogue:Thebullwolf :)

So the statement of mages slowing down runs by 30+ seconds still holds true.

Mages are weaker than other classes now but if u dont care about a second you can still farm fast. Its not like you are at least 30s slower. With a perfect geared party, 2 mages and 2 rogs, you can do it close to the 50s mark.
