DA Soldier: “RUSHIAN SCUM!”
As I laid down helplessly, I watched him getting kicked in the face, bleeding by the DA soldiers
DA Soldier: *tells other soldiers* “Chop their heads off and set them on the spears!”
Just about they were going to behead us, BANG! BANG! BANG! They fell to the ground lifelessly, with their blood spilled. Just about we were able to get up, a group of armed bears with rifles arrived just in time. This time, they didn’t kill us.
UUSR Soldier #1: “Commander, we thought you were killed at the invasion of Rushia!”
Mikhailov: Not only me, but him to. *points at me*
UUSR Soldier #1: “Our soldiers are ready to push back. We’re going to take what is ours.”
Mikhailov: “Good! Make sure when we get there, we can wipe them out!”
UUSR Soldier #1: “Comrades, guard Forest Haven. More reinforcements are coming in. The DA soldiers are coming in about like an hour.”
UUSR Soldiers: “YES, SIR!”
The soldiers dug deep trenches to defend the city and settled heavy machine guns, some of them took rest like eating and drinking. As I watch them, Mikhailov tapped my shoulder.
Mikhailov: “Follow me. When the battle begins, you can snipe somewhere where they can’t find you.”
He headed to a big building, which was still standing. Up the staircases (which was about like 3 stories). I still had the sniper, so I was ready to go.
It took about half an hour to defend Forest Haven. The soldiers in the trenches were ready to shoot the DA rebels with merciless bullets. It was time. There were hundreds of them. Many armed bears, avians, and mages were there, including trolls. They didn’t even know that we were planning a surprise attack.
Mikhailov: “Look in your scope. What do you see?”
As I looked into the scope, the DA army were marching towards the city with their banners of skulls and swords.
Mikhailov: “Here’s what to do. At my command, you’ll shoot at the troll’s head. Our soldiers will hear the shot and will fire at them until every single soldier is wiped out.”
I was ready to pull the trigger when it was time. They deserved to die.
Mikhailov: “Ready?! SHOOT!”
K-POW! It was a success. The troll’s head splattered with blood and gore. When he crashed down lifelessly, the shooting began. Rifles firing as bullets went flying like birds and heavy machine guns firing as bullets sprayed to the earth. A lot of the DA fell to their grounds as their bodies were spraying with blood and guts. It happened as if the UUSR were doing a deer hunt, with hundreds of deers. Few of them took cover and tried firing at them, but they were no match for us.
Mikhailov: “Keep firing! Keep firing!”
I did what he told me to do. I shot at the soldiers that remained alive, and I was lucky because they couldn’t find me due to the firing. All of sudden, the building went shaking like crazy. There were a lot of explosions and the UUSR were taking cover now.
Mikhailov: “THOSE CURSED DARK DEMONS! THEY’RE USING THE MAGES FOR ARTILLERY AGAIN! WE NEED TO EVACUATE RIGHT NOW!”
KA-BOOM! BOOM! KA-POW! As we escaped from the building, it didn’t stand anymore, thanks to them.
Mikhailov: “Don’t worry about them! They can take cover in the trenches, and the blasts will kill all of the DA troops!”
As the bombing continued, it looked like the city was on flames. Our boots kept quickly stomping on the earth like an earthquake in the middle of the forest. Suddenly, Mikhailov stopped.
Mikhailov: “See the River of Peace?”
A raging river near to Forest Haven that was once very clean and fresh, but now due to the war, not anymore. Before the downfall, I’ve heard that citizens come to this place every day so they can have peace in their minds.
Mikhailov: “It’s very risky, but it can keep us away from the DA since we have no choice! Ready?”
I nodded.
Mikhailov: “JUMP!”
SPLASH! Inside the river, water surrounded me like a mummy wrapped in fine linen. My eyes went blurry due to the water but all I finally see is Mikhailov and then, darkness…
