How do I get a profile picture?

Ive got same problem i try to put abpic but it dont work

If you mean for your forum avatar, you can't.

STS provided us with a handful of in-game related avatars. Those are the only ones you can use.

If you want one of the supplied ones, Olz, hit "Settings" at the top right of the screen. Then hit "Edit Avatar" in the menu bar on the left. You can choose from ones from PL, SL and there's some generic "emote" ones as well.

There's a difference between a profile picture and an avatar like the people above me said. If you want a profile picture for your profile. Just go to settings, select profile picture, and choose an image which you'd like to be your profile picture. And if you're just looking for a forum avatar, I'm just gonna refer to Koi because he just said it all.
