Question about closing threads

Ive seen some og threads, some old threads got closed. Why is that? My mainly concern is when i saw some of the best guild threads got closed for no reason (because i dont see anything wring in their threads. Its just sad to see old and og threads got closed like that. Hoping for a reply. Im sad. People kept necroing threads but I don't get the reason to lock the guild thread section.

Nearly every thread in all pl sections are also locked
I’ve seen large sections of old threads get deleted to make room in the past but to just lock em is odd

Still waiting for a respond...
