NO. those chests suck tbh.
I would wait for expansion, and pick up the 70-plat bundle that includes auction slots and inventory slots. They should newer update gears (They scale to your level btw).
Pets are another good use of Plat, especially mythic pets or some of the better legendary pets like Haze, Clyde and Talon
They're okay but If I were you I'd save the platinum for elixirs or the new mythic pet that should come soon. If you're working your way to lvl 36, remember that you would find yourself constantly changing gears so I'm sure it's not wise to use platinum for it.
One thing for sure : Fun!
