The problem is I don't see what I am typing when using the chatbox.

What platform, device type, os version, etc?

make sure your chat is set to *All Chat*

i did this before and thought my chat was broken xD

Android platform. Sometimes when I quick switch app, the comeback to AL (before dc), the chatbox does not display any text but we can type and send
